WORKSHOPS

I offer painting workshops in various locations around the Karoo and beyond. Plein air painting workshops run a minimum of two days and cover colour, design, and light in unique outdoor locations. The first day starts with an introduction to materials and techniques, followed by demonstrations and one-on-one instruction.

You'll learn colour mixing, organising your palette, colour temperature, saturated vs. desaturated colour, design and composition, atmospheric perspective, and working in a sketchbook, among other things.

I have over 10 years of experience teaching art workshops, including at the annual FynArts Festival in Hermanus. Workshops are conducted in oil, but the process translates to acrylic or gouache too. Open to all experience levels.
