My first painting of 2023. A plein air painting outing with #stanfordsketchers on an overcast and showery morning. When I have a doubtful moment, thinking about not going out there because the weather conditions are not optimal, I remember this quote by John Ruskin and realise that all I need is to be prepared. I can say unequivocally though, I’m always happy that I went out, especially when I bring a little painting like this one home with me.
