Your Retreat Package Includes:

This is an all-inclusive experience designed for you to focus purely on your painting practice and relaxation.
3 full days of dedicated plein air sketching and painting tuition with Tracy Algar.
4 nights of shared accommodation at the serene King’s Grant Country Retreat in Ixopo, KZN.
A hearty breakfast each morning (Day 2 – 5).
A light lunch with a soft drink (Day 2 – 4).
A two-course dinner with a soft drink (Day 1 – 4).
Basic tea and coffee facilities in The Mill Lounge (Day 2 – 4).

Dates & Location:

Travel Arrangements:
Please arrange your own travel to King’s Grant Country Retreat.
If you are flying into Durban airport on Monday, 7 September, and flying out on Friday, 11 September, please get in touch with Tracy. She can help coordinate a shuttle service to and from the airport to keep costs down for participants.

Art Supplies:
You are responsible for bringing all of your own plein air painting equipment and art supplies.
Please consult the Art Supplies List (link to a document here), or feel free to contact Tracy to clarify or ask any questions.

Payment Schedule:
A 50% deposit of the total package cost is required to secure your place.
Your final payment is due six weeks prior to the retreat start date: 27th July, 2026.
Cancellation Policy:
Refunds (up to two months prior): For cancellations made up to 6th July, 2026, a refund will be issued, less a R500 administration fee.
No Refunds (after two months prior): Unfortunately, due to the nature of retreat planning and commitments, no refunds can be offered for cancellations made after 6th July, 2026.
I strongly recommend that all participants consider purchasing travel insurance to protect against any unforeseen circumstances. This policy is in accordance with standard industry practices in South Africa.
